July 25, 2013 at 10:16 pm

On April 17, 2012, Microsoft announced that it will officially end support for the XP Operating System as well as Office 2003 on April 8, 2014.

What does this mean?

  • No more patches or updates – no more security patches or updates will be available.
  • No more drivers – if you buy a new piece of hardware or software, there might not be a driver available for it, or in case of software.. it just might cease to work at all.
  • Your system will more susceptible to vulnerabilities as they are discovered.
